Killarney Wedding Photographer

Claire & RIchard

A small and intimate wedding in Killarney

Being a wedding photographer in Killarney national park at any time of the year is amazing. But, Killarney in the Autumn is one of the most stunningly beautiful places I’ve ever seen. Hands down. The summer greens had all but disappeared leaving behind deep shades of purple and gold peppered across the mountains, valleys and lakes.

When Claire and Richard told me their plans and asked me to be their wedding photographer, I already knew it was going to be one of my favourite jobs of the year.

Claire and Richard got married at a small civil ceremony at the Park Hotel in Kenmare with just themselves and their two best friends. The ceremony was held behind the hotel and overlooked the lake and gardens. It was simple, sweet and intimate.  After that, we wandered down the town for a pint or two in Donnabhain’s. When we were done there, we were driven out to Killarney National Park by Pat – our chauffeur. We managed to avoid the rain clouds(mostly) and stopped at all the beauty spots along the way for wedding photos. The only rule was that we had to have everyone back at the Park Hotel in Kenmare by 6pm for Dinner.

Everything went exactly according to plan – bar the odd shower.  Claire, Richard and their friends just had so much fun all day long together and it was a real honour to be their wedding photographer. It was definitely one of the most fun and enjoyable weddings I’ve worked at and I’m delighted to be able to share these pictures on my blog.
