Destination Wedding Photography

One of the best things about being a destination wedding photographer from Ireland is that generally, you are travelling to countries with better weather- which isn’t hard for Ireland but, I’m easily pleased.

When I met Miriam & Federico in Dublin and they asked me to travel to Italy with them to document their wedding, of course, I said yes!
Italy is one of my favourite countries on earth. From its fascinating history to its delicious cuisine, it’s always a treat to be able to work as a wedding photographer there.

First I travelled to Rome where I spend two days photographing my favourite city and eating all the pizza I could fit in my belly. After that, I took a train to the beautiful mountainous region of Cassino where Federico picked me up and showed me around his home town of Casalaticco, a little town located at the top of a hill overlooking the Italian countryside.

The day of the wedding came and unsurprisingly, the weather was absolutely sublime. After the morning preparations, we travelled up the hill to the local church for a beautiful ceremony. Afterwards, there was confetti was thrown and the prosecco was flowing. I just about managed to make it up the old bell tower for a group photo in the piazza below. After a few portraits in the town, it was on to Borgo del Lecci for the reception and dinner.

After a fantastic 7-course meal, the band played well into the night and no one was thrown in the pool despite multiple attempts 🙂

Kind Words

Mike is just FANTASTIC! He came all the way to Casalattico (Italy) for our crazy wedding.

We absolutely love the photos. We were so excited to see them all and relive what was one of the best days of our lives. He is seriously talented wedding photographer! He was so friendly and relaxed that we never felt like he was taking us away from the party We would definitely recommend him to any of our friends who are tying the knot

Grazie mille Mike!!!
